Privacy statement

Who is responsible?

This website belongs to Jorrit Photography, a sports and portrait photographer based in Fryslân, the Netherlands. I am responsible for processing the personal data described on this page. You can ask privacy questions through the contact form or the email address at the bottom of every page.

Contact form

When you fill in the contact form, I process:

• your name and email address;
• your phone number, if you enter it (optional);
• the subject and your message.

I only use this data to answer your question and, if you wish, to arrange an assignment with you. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or my legitimate interest in being able to reply to messages.

I keep messages for up to 24 months after our last contact and delete them afterwards. If your message leads to an assignment, I keep the data needed for my records for as long as the law requires.

The form is processed by Web3Forms, a service that forwards your message to my email. I do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the server records technical data on each visit: your IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser type. This is needed to keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest). These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking services. If you choose the light or dark theme, that choice is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and is never sent to me.

The Instagram link is a plain link. Only when you click it do you go to Instagram, where Instagram's privacy policy applies.

Photos on this website

This website shows photos of sports events and portraits. Are you in a photo and would you like it removed? Let me know through the contact form. I carefully consider every request and will let you know what I decide.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict its processing, to object, and to data portability. Send your request through the contact form; I will respond within one month.

If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Security

The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). I take appropriate measures to protect your data.

Changes

I may update this privacy statement. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
